“I Just Can’t Trust These Gurus!”

“I just can’t trust these gurus!”

Have you ever thought that?

Or maybe you’ve thought something like this…

“These ‘gurus’ only want one thing, and that’s abundance
at my expense.”

Admit it, this thought has crossed your mind before,
hasn’t it?

If that’s really what you think, maybe that one thought
is keeping you stuck right where you are.

I get emails from many of the same gurus that you do. Some
are good; some are great; some are so-so.

But I celebrate them all!

Would you like to know why?

It’s because they are doing SOMETHING!

They are pursuing their passion as they see fit, and they
are unashamedly putting that passion out there.

Some of these gurus resonate with me, and some don’t.

Some of these same gurus may resonate with you and others won’t.

That’s okay.

But if you find yourself ridiculing them or complaining
about them, I suggest that you stop it right now.

When you employ that kind of negative energy, you hurt
yourself. And you just may stay stuck right where you are.

And being “stuck” is deadly.

It kills your drive and it kills your confidence.

I know because I’ve been there. I’ve been stuck before,
and I know that it’s a deadly place to be.

It’s why I’m serious about teaching you to master your
power of release
.

It’s why I’m willing to tell you that your attitude about
others may be part of what’s keeping you stuck.

If you’re getting emails from someone you don’t like
or respect (even if it’s me), you need to get off of
that person’s list. But WHATEVER you do, don’t make
fun of them, don’t complain about them, don’t even
think poorly of them.

The ancient philosopher Seneca said: “Admire those
who attempt great things, even if they fail.”

When these writers and speakers and coaches offer their
instruction and inspiration, they are attempting great
things. And you should celebrate that fact, even if you
feel that they have failed you in some way.

Even if you feel that all they care about is their
abundance at your expense.

So, if you have allowed yourself to slip into cynicism
and negativity about any of these gurus, just remember
that negativity breeds negativity.

And you can never reach a positive outcome when
employing a negative outlook.

So resolve right now to celebrate the passion and drive
and effort of those writers and speakers and coaches who
offer to connect with you.

When they reach out to you they really are attempting
great things.

Thanks for reading!

“Change Your Mind…”

“If you want to be somebody else,
If you’re tired of fighting battles with yourself,
If you want to be somebody else,
Change your mind…”
Sister Hazel

I heard this song on the radio when it was first released, but I didn’t pay it too much attention. Then one day, my teenage daughter said, “There’s a Sister Hazel song that sounds just like the gospel you continually preach. Listen to it, and you’ll love it.”

So I did. I listened to it carefully, and I googled the lyrics. My daughter was absolutely correct.

Those of you familiar with my work know that I believe and teach this: the only way to change anything in your life is to change your thoughts -  and the only way to change everything in your life is to change your thoughts.

Are there things in your life that need changing? Do you long for more happiness? More abundance? More passion for living? More satisfaction? More success?

It all begins by changing your thinking.

That’s the basis of my teaching in ‘Mastering Your Power of Release,’ and in ‘7 Days Away From Powerfully Positive Living.’

Changing your thinking, particularly as it relates to releasing those things that need to be released in your life, is what we’ll be discussing during a free teleseminar that I’m hosting very soon (would have been sooner, but my laptop died and my new one is supposed to be here tomorrow). I’ll have more info coming about that teleseminar next week.

And changing your thinking is one of the keys taught in a brand new in-home retreat that I’m planning to offer, complete with teaching teleseminars, unlimited email coaching, and one-on-one personal telephone consultation (that’s a very rare offering for me these days because of time constraints). Expect an announcement about this very soon.

In the meantime, go to itunes and download “Change Your Mind” by Sister Hazel. Google the lyrics and read them, particularly the chorus. Don’t ignore the truth in these words just because this happens to be a pop song. Believe me, whoever wrote these lyrics is a genius, because the secret to changing anything is to change your mind.
