We Can Do Miracles
I began my online journey two years ago, but I’ve been preaching my happiness gospel all of my adult life. And like most people, my ideas have developed and formed over time. I’m influenced by books, teachers, experiences, and simple conversations.
I have been enlightened by the ‘chance’ reading of a new blog post or by stopping to watch a particular program as I’m channel-surfing. There are lessons everywhere, if we just take the time to look.
Recently, I was reading Dr. Joseph Murphy’s, ‘The Power of Your Subconscious Mind,’ and something that I read sent me to look up a passage or two in the Bible about the power of belief. Was Christ sincere when he said that we can move mountains with our belief? I certainly think so. I know we tend to grossly underestimate what we are capable of doing.
We can do miracles, but we don’t really believe that we can do miracles. We can change our lives with the power of thought and belief, but, so often, we never make the change we say we want. So what’s stopping us?
We are. We stop ourselves, time after time.
We doubt; we make choices that are incongruent with our stated goals; we quit trying.
Please understand this fact: You are the only person who is ultimately in charge of you. No guru or path or teaching or tradition can ‘magic’ you into a different person unless YOU make the decision to be that different person.
Do you want to change something in your life? Then change it. You are not locked into any pattern with out your permission. No one controls you but you. Every decision you make is just that…a decision that YOU make, not someone else.
What do you want to do? Answer that question, and then go do it.
What do you want to be? Figure that out, and then go be it.
And, if you feel like something is stopping you, that’s fear. Fear is a charlatan and a thief. Fear is that voice in your head that tells you, “Don’t try, you may fail, and then people will laugh at you.” Or “Don’t speak up, someone may disagree with you and not like you.” Don’t ever let others opinions keep you from doing what is best for you.
You are not here to please others. You are here to discover just how wonderful you are, and to discover how you can best serve others and develop your passion. If you are truly ‘fearfully and wonderfully made,’ which you most certainly are, it is time for you to begin living like it.
And that’s where my passion comes in…that’s my service…to give you tools to facilitate change…to help you release the stuff that’s holding you back…to help you find your own happy way.
Hopefully, you find some inspiration and tools in these blog posts; that’s my goal. But, if you’d like a more indepth, interactive process, I am continuing to develop a plan for a webinar, and I would really like to hear your opinions. What subjects should it cover? Who would you like to see as a special guest? Please share your thoughts.
I’m also developing a plan for personal coaching though email and by telephone. If you have any suggestions or ideas about these services, I’d love to hear them.
If you’re willing to share your thoughts, I will readily see them if you comment on this blog. If you’d rather not share in this public forum, please feel free to email me.
But first, just believe. Believe that there is a better life than the one you are living now. Believe that your possibilities are deeper and broader than you can possibly imagine. Believe, and watch your own personal miracles begin to unfold.
You really can move mountains.

Hi Buz
Thanks for the great post!
Very interesting point about moving mountains. I certainly believe that it IS possible to move mountains…and in fact it’s already been done!
Look at the ancient Pyramids of Egypt for example…
Ok, sure, the “mountain” has not been “moved” in this case, but it was certainly created out of “nothing”. At some point, the idea of the ancient Pyramids must have formulated in someone’s mind. They would have needed a heck of a lot of faith to believe that it could become a reality. And then, through whatever means, be it human or supernatural, the Pyramids came into existence.
To someone who didn’t know any better, like an alien for example (LOL!), they could easily mistake the Great Egyptian Pyramids for some “mountains”…
So, there you have it…
It IS possible to “move” and even create mountains. I think the problem often comes in that we think…”I don’t know HOW it can happen, and therefore it wont happen.” I bet the person who originally got the idea for mega sized Pyramids would not have had a clue HOW it was gonna get done…but it DID get done!
We have undeniable proof backing up that verse you mentioned!

Dr. Joseph Murphy is a name you would see often on my bookshelves if you were to visit my home. I don’t often come across references to his work, so it was a nice synch to visit your blog from your reference in Twitter and see that we have a common interest in Dr. Murphy’s work. I would very much enjoy hearing more of your thoughts on the subject.

Hi Buz,
This is absolutely one of the best posts I’ve ever read!! Powerful and inspirational. I, too, believe that we can do very powerful things, it is our own limiting beliefs that keeps many of us accomplishing what we are truly capable of.
Thank you, Buz, for inspiring me again. I appreciate you and everything you do for folks.
Blessings,
Todd
Thanks for the response, Gideon. Excellent example!
Todd,
You must have been responding to my post as I was responding to Gideon.
I appreciate your response. And you make an excellent point about limiting belief…it so often holds us back.
Thanks for your kind words!
I believe it is with the faith of a musturd seed. An idea that sparks desire is even smaller than a mustard seed and that is where it all begins, right? Thanks Buzz!
Janelle,
It’s great to hear from you. I’ve read “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” before, but, as I was going through my bookcase a couple of days ago, it just spoke to me again. I’m loving it! Let’s chat or skype call and discuss it.

Faith is faith, Bart…that’s a GREAT point. Small faith is plenty of faith, and that is where it starts. Thanks so much for visiting my blog.

Buz, As far as suggestions go in what you could provide in your webinar or coaching, I think you should expand on your discussion of beliefs and fear. Recently I have been looking into ways to change my limited beliefs, those old thoughts that are so ingrained in my brain that they impede me from moving forward in life and taking new directions. If you could find a way to help people erase those beliefs or get beyond them, that would be great. Furthermore, it would be nice to see how you could help someone work through their fears. Limited beliefs and fears are the 2 biggest factors that stop people in their tracks. Most people have no clue as to who they are. People take in the bad and forget the good all the time. We always believe the bad things people say and hardly ever the good. Why is this? I really don’t know. Help people find who they really are and they can move mountains!
Excellent advice, Melanie, and thanks for your input. I’ll keep your suggestions in mind as I proceed, and, if you have any other suggestions, please feel free to email me at any time.

Hi Buz,
This is truly an inspiring post. For someone like me who “preaches” that we should always believe, it’s a gentle reminder. Sometimes I wish that we could take that word “impossible” out of the dictionary
Maria,
Thanks for your wisdom-filled response. Please visit my blog again.

Hi Buz,
This is a terrific post.
We all have hopes and dreams and I am a firm believer that we would not be able to dream those dreams if we did not already have all the resources within us to create them.
Fear and Limiting Beliefs are some of the biggest dream-stealers there are. We have been so conditioned to “think small” and to worry about “what other people might think or say” that we often lose sight of our own dreams.
For many people it is a huge realization that we can choose to clear away beliefs that do not serve us and we can choose new ones for ourselves.
Your work is terrific, Buz, and I think your webinars and coaching programme will be excellent too.
Subjects such as releasing Limiting Beliefs and building self esteem are great topics.
Looking forward to hearing more about it.
With abundant blessings.

Powerful post! Wonder how many times I can read that today? I need all of that plastered in my heart, soul and mind! Thank you! Thank you!
This IS a great post post and quite inspiring!
I think one of the things you might consider coaching people about is how to mesh your self empowerment and releasing of beliefs information with their more fundamental religious beliefs. So people are afraid to adopt another belief that they feel they have to tiptoe around others.
You have the background and ability to do that, and I have perceived a real need out there for that.
Love you Buz!
Rebecca
Excellent idea, Rebecca. I’ll mull that suggestion over for a bit.
Thanks for commenting!

“You are not here to please others.” Funny how I was brought up to help everyone BUT me. And it took its toll.
“You are here to discover just how wonderful you are, and to discover how you can best serve others and develop your passion.” This says it so well! What good are you to others if you are not to yourself.
Very good!!!!

Hi Buz,
I couldn’t have said it better myself. NEVER STOP DREAMING! Become a Creator! Like the book 21 Days To Creating Your Dream Life states, you can create your dream life. Like Will Smith stated in his interview, you must believe in your thoughts, your feelings, and ideas as they will become physical commitments. Everyone wants and desires something different from life. Love life every day, every moment!
