Pursue Life …… Inspiration from the PF FLYERS
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
An old high school buddy of mine recently gave me a cd that his son’s band has recorded. You can check out the PF Flyers at their myspace, or sample their latest cd (the one that I’m listening to) at CD Baby. It’s a slightly younger sound than I usually listen to, but I like it. And I love the fact that these kids from Oxford, Mississippi are pursuing life.
So many people sit around wishing that something good would happen – hoping that someone will come along and discover their brilliance. These people believe that Life is going to pursue them. But, Life doesn’t operate that way.
Life won’t pursue you; you must pursue Life.
The great news is that there’s never been an easier time to go for your dreams. Today’s technology levels the playing field in all sorts of pursuits, from marketing to music to whatever you can imagine.
Back when I was playing music with my high school friends (do you remember the early 70’s?), it wasn’t common for a young band with a small following to cut an album. As a matter of fact, it was unheard of. But now, because of technology, virtually anyone can make a cd or put their music online digitally. Anyone can write an ebook. Anyone can sell products. Anyone can start just about any kind of business they can imagine and market to the entire world.
But you’ve got to actually do it. You’ve got to for it. It won’t just happen.
You need to ask yourself these two important questions: What do you want? & Why do you want it?
Once you answer these two questions, just go for it.
When I listen to the PF Flyers and think about what they’re doing to go for their dreams, I get inspired. And that helps me to continue pursuing my dreams.
Don’t wish your Life away. Pursue it.
Happiness always,
Buz

Nice new look here Buz.
It’s so true about life. It really doesn’t ( well rarely) come knocking at your front door. Something I guess that goes along with that action step we all hear about.
Good luck,
Paul
Great Video! It ran fine for me! and the perfect lesson for me this morning as I start a new week, and within it, a new month! Always goal setting times! Thank you!
(It is hard to see the yellow print on this page)
The video ran great, I have already sent your message to everyone in my address book! Thank you, what a great way to start the week!

(And Joan is correct, I can hardly see the yellow print at all!!)
It is good for me to be reminded of the mindset to lead me to happiness and that leads to success in working with others, the video ran great. Also thank you for sharing the link to the PF Flyers. I loved their sound and enjoyed spending time listening and exploring other new sounds. It is nice to stretch beyond the norm.
Good Morning!
I enjoyed your video. It ran fine for me. My favorite extended family member, Aunt Norma, used to say those opening words. “I’d rather wear out than rust out”. She passed away at age 68, 12 years ago, and I am so very grateful that I have those words and memories of that wonderful woman to carry with me through my life. Those words have given me strength during the tough times, and the courage to keep going.
As for the written words, yes, these are extraordinary times. We have amazing opportunities that never existed before. Yes, I remember the ’70’s! (One of the unusual ones of that time!) Advice I gave a friend lately: Just do SOMETHING! It doesn’t really matter if it is “wrong”. It will be movement and that movement will encourage more movement, and soon your snowball is rolling downhill!
Thanks for sharing. Keep on rocking.

Just a bit more feedback. I finally got this to post by randomly clicking at the bottom. Can’t read the “send” button.
