Hello my friend...

Very well said ~ I do agree with you and believe that we are our own worst cynics. We hold ourselves back when thinking self defeating thoughts, such as: I might not get that job, I might not be good enough for her / him, I never do anything right.

HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT? IF YOU NEVER TRY, YOU'LL NEVER KNOW!

Once a person realizes the freedom that the power of release gives, life will never be the same. My eyes have been opened, my life and spirit have been lifted all thanks to a few dear friends.

With Gratitude,

Stephen

Well said, Buz.
Once we can allow ourselves to "BE OURSELVES" and stop worrying about whether other people like the "Real Me" then Miracles really do unfold.

Sometimes we are our own worst enemy and our worst critic. Someone once said to me "If you criticised your friends like you criticise yourself, how many friends would you have left?" (er, probably not many!)

Change your Mind, and allow yourself to SHINE as the beautiful human being that you are!

With abundant blessings.

Music is a huge inspiration for me. I first heard this song in the Brendan Fraser/Elizabeth Hurley movie "Bedazzled" and loved it. I have a CD mix that I made called "Morning Songs" that inspire me and "Change Your Mind" is the very first song. I like this song so much that I bought some more Sister Hazel CDs. Their music & lyrics are upbeat and happy.

Other songs in my Morning Mix include "Standing Outside the Fire" by Garth Brooks, "Life's a Dance" by John Michael Montgomery, "Why Walk When You Can Fly" by Mary Chapin Carpenter, "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson, "The World's Greatest" by R. Kelly, "My Next Thirty Years" by Tim McGraw, "Born to Fly" by Sara Evans, "It's a Great Day to Be Alive" by Travis Tritt, "No Day but Today" from Rent, "Life is Good" by Kenny Chesney, "I Believe I Can Fly" by R. Kelly, "Who I Am" by Jessica Andrews, "Dancing with the Mountains" by John Denver, "Top of the World" by the Carpenters, "If you Want to Sing Out, Sing Out" & "Oh Very Young" by Cat Stevens, "I Can See Clearly Now" by Jimmy Cliff, "Dancing With the Mountains" by John Denver, "Feeling Good Again" by Robert Earl Keen, "I Believe that Love is the Answer" by Blessed Union of Souls, "I'm Sitting on Top of the World" & "There's a Rainbow 'Round My Shoulders" by Al Jolson, "Daydream" by Lovin' Spoonful, "Independence Day" by Imani Coppola, "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor, "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen, "Affirmation" by Savage Garden, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw, "You Gotta Be" by Des’ree, "When You Believe" by Mariah Carey/Whitney Houston, "I'm Alive" by Celine Dion, "One Day More" from Les Miserables, "Return to Innocence" by Enigma, "Fly On The Wings Of Love" by Annia, "Shine All Your Light" by Amy Grant, "Believe in You" by Amanda Marshall, "I'm in a Hurry" by Alabama, "I'm On My Way" by The Proclaimers - there's more but I've got to get back to work.

I also have a mix I call "Songs That Make Me Smile" - these are just songs I like a lot or that bring up good memories for me.

I've not heard of that song... or for that matter, of Sister Hazel.

We hear from so many different people in so many different ways that the way to change our life is to change our thoughts... and yet how many people actually listen and apply this wisdom and universal truth!??

I wonder if we hear the same message often enough will it eventually sink in?
