Forget It!
One of the most important steps when using the Law of Attraction is being able to let go of the thing that you want to acquire. In his book, ‘The Attractor Factor,’ Joe Vitale presents this lesson as the fifth step in the 5 steps he teaches to manifest the Law of Attraction. You can call it detachment. You can call it trust. You just have to learn to let go.
There have been times that I’ve found this step to be incredibly difficult to grasp. How can you be wanting something and letting it go at the same time? I found a simple explanation to this dilemma in “The Power of Forgetting,” a chapter by Colin Joss in my ebook, ‘Masters of Release.”
Colin is primarily a marketer, but he is a thinking person’s marketer. His first ebook is about the Law of Attraction, and he has been interviewed as an expert on this subject. So when he told me that the chapter he was writing for my book was about gaining by forgetting, well to say that I was intrigued is an understatement. I can attest to the fact that his chapter is a really good fit in ‘Mastering Your Power of Release‘ and an integral part of learning what it means to master the art of letting go.
And the chapter is pure Colin – succinct, insightful, and brilliant. Before you experience this chapter, you may consider “forgetting” to be a problem. But Colin disagrees with that, and he uses his own experience to show you exactly how forgetting may be the key to getting what you really want.

I can agree with the power of forgetting. I know from experience it can work for certain health problems. I.E. If I can forget about having a cold, it disappears! But other things seem harder to do because of all fear hidden within it. For me, its the big money questions. But for smaller stuff, it just happens. Thanks for reminding me of that significant tool!
Hi Buz
what difference is between your e-book and Attractor Factor.
thank you for sharing this ebook.

That’s a good question, Ali. ‘Mastering Your Power of Release’ is not really about the Law of Attraction. It’s about improving your life by releasing the things that are holding you back. The product has two ebooks and nine audio files. One of the ebooks is ‘The Power of Release,’ which explains the methods that I’ve discovered over the past twenty years that allow me to release those things that hold me back. The other ebook is a collection of chapters written by ten of my associates. These ten authors, speakers, and coaches each offer a little different method or philosophy about “release.” This blog post refers to one of those chapters by Colin Joss. His chapter relates to the Law of Attraction, but the other chapters deal with nine (or more – some authors discuss more than one method) other “release” subjects. I hope that answers your question, and thanks for asking.

Charlotte,
Even though you posted your kind comments today, it was on an earlier post. I’m answering it on this post since this is my most recent post. Let me know if you see it.

Hi Buz,
I attend a Regigious Science church. One of the ministers wrote a book on affirmative prayer called “Five Steps to Freedom” by Dr John Waterhouse. The 5th step in spiritual mind treatment (prayer) is letting go. He likens it to dropping an object off a roof. You can stand at the edge of the roof forever with the intent of dropping the object. However, it will never drop unless or until you release it! I had an “aha” moment there bringing those things together. I’ve never read Joe Vitale’s book The Attraction Factor. Might have to do that……
I gave released a lot of stuff and I have boatloads to go! It amazes me how much “stuff” can be stored in a 4′11″ frame!
Thanks again.
Pam
Hi Buz–I’ve always found that it in the releasing and forgetting (clearing the mind), that paridoxically, true remembering arises, such as feeling more alive, feeling at one-ment with all creatures great and small.
And in these moments of Present Moment Awareness, a true love affair just happens–with life, with Yourself, which IS the Kingdom Within.
Thanks, Buz!!

Pam, thanks for your response…I like the quote that you refer to: “it will never drop unless or until you release it.” Very wise! Thank you.
And Kate, it is always a joy to hear from you. You have such a wonderful way of presenting insightful thoughts. Thanks for the comment.
